Our Approach

Large beautiful photographs

We have been in a fortunate position to have worked with Century Composites for many years now. Century are expanding their brand of fishing so that each discipline that they specialise in has a solid identity.

The first part of this expansion was to build a new Century Carp website. Existing data was taken based on Century's current website, and a overview of the content required for the new project was made.

After a sitemap was produced and agreed upon, we spent time looking at the primary usability aspects of the website - clear navigation, product visibility and language options. Paper wireframes were produced to rapidly prototype the site layout and the important functionality.

At this stage a visual theme began to be designed for the Century Carp site. It needed to be tied into existing brand designs and be flexible enough so that it forms a template for future brands. Century Carp design and manufacture high quality fishing tackle, so a strong emphasis on product photography was promoted througout the design.

The site was coded based upon Wordpress as a platform. This allowed us to keep the initial set-up costs lower than creating a bespoke system. Wordpress required some modification so that Century could use it as a Content Management System, rather than just a blogging platform. We integrated translation options that are easy to use and importantly very customisable. Century are an international brand, and it was very important to promote this.

The whole project has been very successful and along with promotion through social media, Century Carp is an aspirational brand.
